The Questions Have Divine Answers

Published by nobleinnocent at 12:14 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Yes! WE live in a messed-up, over-priced, and highly defective world. The truth of today is evident in all our daily tasks, from working to sleeping. However, this is not to be man’s final picture. Today, we could face these facts and resign our posts, making decisions out of desperation. Or, we can search for wisdom and make wise decisions. The choice is often left to the individual in a tight circumstance.

Some experts say the world will not be able to exist much longer. The rich already plan to make colonies on Mars to escape the desolation that comes as the result of their decisions. As greenhouse gasses and Global Warming sets off an unstoppable wave of destruction, man can be assured that he had at one time the power to fix it. How? We must consider our lifestyle. We must consider our teachings, way of life, purpose, and faith. Yes, in truth, most of our ways of today lead to the problems of the future. We pollute the world, air, and seas. There are two ways out: consider the teaching, way of life, and faith of the world or consider the teaching, way of life and faith our Leader. Paul exhorts Timothy in the same way in 2 Timothy 3:10.

When I lived in America, a private car was a comfort and a necessity on the way to work. My countryside home was more than an hour’s drive to work. Although public buses could have been used, I still used my car. Since moving to the Philippines, I have used public transportation, the jeepney and FX, to commute. All these forms of transportation to work are affected today by a spiralling price on natural gas and oil. As greed forces the price to rise, man will have a difficulty in going to work at all. If something is not done, we will be forced to walk. There two ways out: stop working or work to improve our world. For me, we must take the burden to work for our future. We must be willing to sacrifice to work ahead. Christians must be willing to sacrifice inefficient ways of living and focus on improving the world.

Who do we go to sleep with at night? “Folly makes strange bed fellows.” It is our choices we make during the day that affect the choices we make at night. Today has seen a rise in divorce and hatred where there was once promise and love. Man has often forsaken their bonds to fellow man, law and God to take on selfish pursuits. Even more so today, man inexcusably lies with man and woman lies with women out of passion and beastliness. When we are in a fight with a spouse or a loved one, what should our decision be? There are two ways out: fight for yourself and your own interests or fight for the interest of others. But if there is any love still left, especially in His love in us, we must continue to follow Him. Continue in what you have learned and have been conviced of (2 Timothy 3:14).

In all these decisions, God has already made His will known. We look for an answer that is already given and decided. In making our decision, we should rely on the Holy Scriptures to light the path. For they were not written by the will of man , but the will of God (2 Peter 1:21).

You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. It is God’s way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do. (2 Timothy 3:15-17)
